Question by cel: Is there really a hotel in germany name Omni Royal Hotel Germany?
Mrs.Veronical Zupancic from Germany, sent emails that the hotel needs employeesfor 18 years and above who can work diligently and live in Germany.Hotel will be responsible for his/her flight ticket, accommodation as well as the visa fee.
is this a scam?

Best answer:

Answer by bla bla
You are right to set the alarm bells ringing as false job offer scams are rife these days

Just type “Omni Royal Hotel” and “scam” into google and you will see the entries pop up!

http://www.fraudwatchers.org/forums/showthread.php?t=6016

http://419.bittenus.com/7/5/OmniRoyal-Hotel.htm

http://suckerswanted.blogspot.com/2007/03/omni-royal-hotel-canada.html

and most interesting – the same contact name as yours http://www.antifraudintl.org/showthread.php?t=5656 and reading this, here is the scam part “Applicant will be responsible for the cost of Immigration Clearance Certificate ($ 215) at Canadian Immigration Bureau” (although yours will probably be the German Immigration Bureau”

If you reply yes, they will ask you to send this sum of money to them via Western Union/Moneygram (as there is no recourse with these methods). They will of course state that this is non-refundable. In fact they will probably ask you for more money for other reasons until the point where you refuse……….. and then “Sorry but the visa was refused by the immigration bureau”, and then the “job offer” and your money is gone for good

Any reputable hotel will have an Email account with their own domain name so e.g. it would be xyz@hotel-omni.de and not a freemail account like yahoo which she is using and which anyone can register

So do not answer them, and please do not send any money to them at all. If you have answered then, then take care as you can expect more “offers” coming your way

My Recommendations For The Most Famous Castles in Germany

Attractions in Germany
by Imparo

Germany is one of those countries which you can only discover if you spend lots of time exploring its landscape, its culture, its cuisine and its people. There are so many things to be done and seen in this great country that you will need moths or maybe even years to cover all the touristic attractions from Germany. However, there are very few people who can afford the luxury of spending more than a week or two in vacation. If you have only a limited time to see Germany you should definitely make some time in your schedule for its castles. Situated in some of the most beautiful areas in Germany and built with so much style and elegance, these castles will leave you breathless the moment you will see them.

Burg Eltz Castle

Burg Eltz Castle is one of Germany’s best preserved castles. Built in the medieval period, the first written attestation of Burg Eltz dates back from 1157 and from then on the only family in whose administration this castle was is the Eltz family. Even nowadays, a third of the castle is not opened to public as it is the residence of the Eltz family. Only two thirds of the castle can be visited, yet they really worth the effort. You will see here wonderful frescoes, old furniture, paintings and art, beautifully decorated rooms in a style that has passed the proof of time.

Schloss Neuschwanstein

Another great and extremely famous castle, even not that old is Schloss Neuschwanstein. This castle’s construction began in 1869, under the reign of King Ludwig II. He wanted an elegant, almost extravagant castle which will fully have its signature on it. It is said that there were no less than 14 carpenters who have worked on the king’s bedroom and it took them about 4 years and a half to complete it. Unfortunately, many rooms were left unfinished when King Ludwig II was removed from the throne. However, what has been done is a work of art that deserves all our admiration and appreciation.

This castle is not only famous for its great tapestry, its works of art or its design, but also for the fact that it has served as model for the famous Disney castle from Disneyland. Thus, if you want to see the original, you should not miss this castle!

Frankenstein Castle

If you loved the famous story of Frankenstein, then you may also want to see where it all began. The Frankenstein castle, situated in Damstedt not far from Frankfurt, this castle served as inspiration for Mary Shelly’s novel. There are all kinds of legends circulating about this castle and it would be quite interesting to hear what things have taken place inside the now ruined castle.

There are plenty other castles which will require your attention while in Germany. Yet, if your time is quite limited, try to see at least these ones. You will definitely return for more whenever you have the chance.

Also we want to know what is generally charged per night for Bed & Breakfast by the people provide stay at their homes?
We are planning an economy trip this time.
Thanks in advance.

Answer by chai22
It will vary a great deal, some B&B and guesthouses ‘can’ be more expensive than small hotels, also the standard of the accommodation varies very much ! It will also vary by location, often a place that is not so convenient for transport could be a lot cheaper than a place with a central location, but then you pay more for transport. I think better to also check the location and if transport is near or far.

Last year in Berlin Lindemann Hotel Alte Feuerwache was about 55 Euro, which is quite cheap, and next to the Metro !
In Munich the Hotel Modern – 3 star, very central, about 65 Euro

There are many reviews for B&B and guesthouses and small hotels and maps where the place are.

Really Cheap Airline Flights To and From Germany

Were you thinking lately about traveling somewhere really cheap just didn’t come a cross a good air deal? In case the answer is “yes”, then there is a good opportunity to do just so.

The first condition is – you must be an adventurer!

The secret is to go for “Joker flights”. It means you don’t know where exactly you’ll fly after you book. Pretty exciting, isn’t it? I know, it’s not for everybody. Though on the other hand it enables the airline to drop the fare under the usual price for an air ticket and gets you a good air fare deals from Frankfurt, Munich or Hamburg!

The destinations you can enjoy this way are as follows:
Antalya, Malaga, Heraklion, Mallorca, Larnaca, Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Hurghada, Lanzarote or Jerez de la Frontera – this can be usually bought at €108 for return with all taxes and fees and other annoying stuff regarding your costs.

If you wish to travel further, there are some cool destinations like:
Varadero, Cancun, Mombassa, Mauritius, Seychelly, Puerto Plata and others. The price is usually about €306 for a round-trip and all-in again. This is not available from Hamburg or Munich, these are air deals from Frankfurt only.

The adventure is thrilling, yet not everybody can do it. You have to have time and be a bit flexible. Otherwise there’s little chance you can enjoy such a vacation. Though for those who manage it there’s a low cost holiday at hand.

So what do you think about it guys? I find it hilarious, just thinking whether I have guts myself to take the risk and just freely go:). I might take a few days off next summer. I’ve run out of all my vacation this year.

If you don’t feel like risking that much
You can simply follow other flight offers from Germany. There’s a site, which (free of charge) follows air deals from Frankfurt or Berlin, Munich or other ones on myAirDeals.com.

Are You Looking to Buy or Sell Property in Germany?

History has not been in favor of German real estate investment, as the fallout of reunification was sluggish for the property market for a long period of time. However, the German property market is back with a vengeance and is gathering momentum on a daily basis! It took the Soccer World Cup of 2006 to revive the fortunes of the laid back property scenario within Germany.

Germany a late entrant in the real estate business is destined for higher plateaux. Though the country is considered as much more technologically advanced than most of its European counterparts, it is the housing segment that requires cosmetic work to bring it back to the forefront of the world’s property stage.

Salient Features of Germany from Investment Point-of-View

Any prospective German real estate investor must ponder over the following features of the country before making up his mind -

– The reunification of Germany in 1990 was a welcome global development. But the country had to pay a huge price in terms of a buckling economy. The positive vibes about German property is a recent development. Historically, the country was a war-ravaged nation that hardly attracted offshore investments. But modern Germany has not only survived, but also emerged as a strong and vibrant European economic powerhouse.

– Since German property demand is of recent origin, the experts have already predicted big things for German real estate, and the time for investing here is now, as the prices are on an upswing of late.

– Most Germans have traditionally preferred rental accommodation than owning a house of their own (which is just 43% of the German population). This spells a great investment opportunity for overseas investors who wish to earn handsome rental income from a decent property in one of the happening cities of Germany, like the capital city of Berlin.

– The country is not too high on the tourism map of Europe. However, this doesn’t mean that Germany has any dearth of tourist spots. The rich history of this country holds an obvious edge over some of the other countries in Europe. It’s just that successive governments were too busy to promote tourism in the wake of economy revival. But the potential for this sector is immense and the country is widely believed to welcome millions of visitors annually in the coming years.

– Germany’s technology potential is widely respected all around the world and it is a powerhouse in the electronic goods segment. This has lent added weight for the German economy to prosper. An improving economy also means a consistent drop in the unemployment rates within the country. The nation’s industry is also giving full support to bolster the sagging fortunes of the country’s economy. Germany has emerged as the world’s largest exporter by volume, with nearly a billion dollars in exports in 2006, and with a trade surplus of over 0 billion in the same year.

– The capital city of Berlin has emerged as the best place to invest in Germany. With money giving ample fuel to the economic health of the country, the capital city is the obvious choice for real estate investors from around the globe. The government has awakened to the importance of foreign investment in the country. Reluctantly, there has been a surge in property rates in Berlin. As an indicator to the British investors, apartments in Berlin start from £35K, and depending on the size, location, and other considerations, the price may go up to as far as £200K.

Legal Position of foreigners owning property in Germany

The German government has not imposed harsher limits on the foreign ownership of real estate in the country. Non-Germans can also buy, own and sell an unrestricted quantity of land and homes. They can also hold property as landlords, and even develop property after satisfying certain simple rules and regulations. Buyers from EU countries have an added advantage of access to residency and labour rights as set out in EU law. The Non-EU investors must consult the local embassy regarding their rights in Germany.

A legal professional is required to carry out all the paper work in Germany for the real estate investors. This is because most of the administrative work requires to be executed in German, and despite your best knowledge of the language, you’ll be ill at ease while handling German authorities.

The German Banks are also offering low interest rates on mortgages. Most banks will lend up to 70 per cent of the purchase price, though you will have to fulfill certain conditions. The maximum mortgage terms are 30 years on a rate of fixed interest. See our page on getting a mortgage in Germany

Any property purchase in Germany is susceptible to Property Tax as per different rules of the different regions. However, the rates are not too prohibitive. Even the rental income is chargeable under Income Tax. It’s better that you hire a local solicitor to guide you through the possible taxes regarding your property in Germany.
